SHS-Scheduling Process for 2012-2013
In preparation for scheduling students for the 2012-2013 school year, counselors reviewed students' Educational Development Plans with students when the counselors returned students' EXPLORE and PLAN results; counselors reviewed juniors' EDPs in the juniors' Government and Economics classes. At that time, students were directed to begin speaking with their parents regarding their courses for next year. The scheduling process for the 2012-2013 school year will begin in 2-3 weeks. SHS-Attendance Policy Survey for Parents
At the start of second semester, Stevenson High School convened a task force of teachers, counselors, and administrators to look at any issues that may have come about due to the current attendance policy, implemented in September 2010. We received a great deal of feedback, but there was an agreement that we wanted to know what our parents thought, especially as you interact with the policy in a completely different manner than we do. SHS-Spotlight on Excellence-Instrumental Music Solo and Ensemble Results
This past Saturday, January 14, 2012, 68 events from Stevenson High School participated in the instrumental music Solo and Ensemble Festival at Franklin High School. Out of the 68 events, 45 received 1's and 21 received 2's. Events receiving 1's qualify to compete in the State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Farmington Harrison High School on Saturday, March 24, 2012.This year Stevenson, Churchill, and Franklin also started All-City Chamber Ensembles that rehearse once a week at Stevenson and Churchill.
