FHS Students and Teacher Take Home VFW Awards
Alex, a FHS senior, was chosen as the winner of the Voices of Democracy contest for the second year in a row. He won a scholarship and the chance to compete at the state level in Kalamazoo at the end of the month. Echo, a FHS junior, came in 4th in the competition. Mary Helen Diegel, FHS Social Studies teacher, was awarded the VFW District Four Teacher of the Year award. She was chosen from teachers in the Southeastern area of Michigan.
