Some Key Information

Full-day 2017-18 kindergarten registration for all students in our K-4 schools will begin February 1, 2017. (Please note that, beginning February 1, registration is ongoing. Registration immediately on Feb. 1 is not required.) 

More information on the educational programming and opportunities for incoming students will be shared at each school’s kindergarten parent information evening on March 8, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. 

Please contact your child's future school for more information.

Kindergartners must be five years old by September 1, 2017.

How to register your student
1. Gather all required documentation. ALL required documentation must be presented in order to register your student(s).

2. Download and complete the registration packet.

3. Visit your child's school to complete registration between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Be sure to bring all documentation gathered in steps 1 & 2. (Any specific instructions regarding your student pursuant to a court order must be accompanied by the court order upon registration.)

Early Entry
For the 2017-18 School Year, the entry date cut-off for a child entering kindergarten is September 1, 2017. A child who resides in the Livonia Public Schools attendance area may be enrolled in kindergarten if he/she is at least 5 years of age by September 1, 2017.

Parents of a child with a birth date after September 1, but before December 1, 2017 may request early entry for enrollment.

Kindergarten Student Orientation meetings 
Wednesday, May 31: Students assigned to Buchanan, Cleveland, Grant, and Randolph
Thursday, June 1: Students assigned to Coolidge, Hayes, Hoover, Kennedy, Roosevelt and Rosedale. 

Young Fives
Our Young Fives program is open to five-year-olds not yet ready for kindergarten. If you have questions about Young Fives, please contact Randolph Elementary School at 734-744-2770.

Before- and After-School Child Care
If you require School Age Child Care (SACC) before or after the school day, please contact Jackie Beitz at (734) 744-2813, ext. 22130 to inquire about availability. More information on the SACC program can be found HERE.
