Mrs. Jennifer Abler
Welcome! I have taught math at Stevenson since 2010 and began teaching in 1996! I enjoy teaching math and have taught at all three Livonia High Schools and Riley Middle School. I attended Western Michigan University for my undergraduate education degree (in math, psychology, and chemistry) and Oakland University for my master's degree, which is in training and development. Besides being a classroom teacher, I spent 5 years at Central Office as the District Math Coordinator and 2 years with Wayne County and Oakland Schools, working with charter schools and facilitating teacher training. I love all that there is to know about teaching math - from Pinterest boards to working on new lessons to working on national curriculum evaluation committees - I still love learning about trends and finding what is best for my students.
I have two sons - one is a senior this year and the other is in 8th grade. They fill my days and weekends with all sorts of sports - football, baseball, and basketball. We love traveling together and playing games. They have taught me a lot about how the school experience is different for every kid. In addition to going to sporting events, I love to do yoga, read, bake and hang out with my family, friends and dog, Champ.
Please contact me at any time with any questions (email is best). I look forward to this school year!

In a million words or less, please tell me about your child! Please take a few minutes to tell me anything that you think would be helpful for me to know about your child! This can be anything from what they enjoy doing in their free time to struggles or success stories in school! I look forward to getting to know your children this year!
