Mrs. Rebecca Gezahegn

My name is Rebecca Gezahegn and it is my honor to be your child's teacher. I look forward to getting to know each of my students as we spend the year learning and growing together.

I live in Ann Arbor with my husband and our eight-year old son, Ebenezer. When I'm not at school, I'm busy being the mama of a second grader. Ebenezer plays soccer, does judo, and plays the violin. Our family really enjoys being out in nature and playing board games. We also love to travel! When I get a bit of free time, I love to cook, knit, and enjoy a cup of coffee with a close friend.

I have been a teacher in Livonia for 24 years, spending the last 14 here at Webster. This will be my second year as a Family One teacher. My biggest hope for our class this year is that we become more like a team or a family. I believe that learning is social and to that end, we will spend time getting to know each other and learning how to be considerate friends and classmates. When the classroom is an emotionally safe environment, learning comes much easier and is a lot more fun!

Please never hesitate to reach out by email and remember that our classroom door is always open!
