Hello! Welcome to the new school year.  My name is Ms. Cervantes and I am very excited about being your student's sixth grade teacher. As a student in my homeroom, I will teach them ELA and Math. I team teach with Ms. Bennett (Social Studies) and Ms. Rebbe (Science). I look forward to working with you and your student to make this a wonderful year full of learning, growing and lots of laughter. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University and my Master's Degree from the University of Michigan. I absolutely love teaching sixth grade. I strive to instill a love for learning in my students. Students should understand that they need to be active participants in their own learning. I expect all of my students to take responsibility for their actions and to show respect for others. I have very high expectations for students both academically and behaviorally.

When not at school, I live in Canton, Michigan with my wonderful daughter, Juliet who is in her last year at Grand Valley State University. I miss her tons! I enjoy spending time with my extended family, traveling, camping, kayaking, hiking, horse backriding, reading, watching Netflix., and just about anything you can do outdoors.
