Hello and welcome to my teacher webpage. My name is Mr. Lars Richters, and I will be teaching Language Arts 10 and Language Arts 10b at Stevenson High School this semester. Following my graduation from Stevenson High School in 1987, I earned a degree in political science from Yale University. After graduating from college, I was drafted by the Detroit Rockers of the National Professional Soccer League and began what would be a seven-year soccer career. Some of my greatest moments as an athlete were my interactions with young people at clinics and public speaking engagements. As a result of these experiences, and in large part due to my lifelong love of reading and writing, I chose to pursue a career in teaching. After two years at Madonna University, I earned a second degree in English as well as my secondary teaching certificate. I am excited to say that this is my 24th year as a member of the language arts department at Stevenson.
