Welcome! This is my first year at Grant (and Livonia!), and I couldn't be more excited to be teaching Kindergarten! It is a huge jump from where I was last (7th and 8th grade), but I am enthusiastic about the challenge. Before joining LPS, I spent 8 years in Dearborn, supporting special education students in several different roles, 3rd through 8th grade.

Apart from making sure my students are taught the Kindergarten curriculum, my goal this year is to foster a love for school. I've been in Middle School; I'm not sure where or why students lose that love for knowledge, but I am determined that they will leave in June with only positive feelings about school. Families are a key component in this. I can't wait to work together. At any time, please share thoughts or concerns about our classroom or your child, and I will do everything I can to address any changes that need to be made. We are a team :) 

Other than my job -- which I love -- my spare time is spent with my friends and family. I live in Northville with my husband and two children, Jacob (3) and Zoey (1). On the weekends, I am running around with my kids outside, watching Michigan State sports, and eating pizza.
