The ACAT (Alternative Classrooms for the Academically Talented) program is accepting applications from students who live outside of the Livonia Public School District for attendance starting in the 2020-2021 school year.
Elementary-aged students who have outstanding academic achievement and ability may benefit from a specialized academic program. Livonia Public Schools has a program dedicated to providing gifted and talented students a nurturing, differentiated, rigorous, and enriched curriculum. Students have opportunities for essential interaction between children with like abilities, interests, and talents. The program is called ACAT (Alternative Classrooms for the Academically Talented) and is housed in Webster School, 32401 Pembroke, Livonia 48152.
The ACAT program will be accepting a limited number of students from outside of the Livonia School District for the 2020-2021 school year. Students who will be entering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades are eligible to apply starting on May 11 and ending on May 29, 2020. The application will be available online at the Livonia Public Schools and Webster Elementary websites starting on Monday, May 11.
A lottery will be held to determine the order in which applicants will be assessed for openings. The lottery is scheduled for Monday, June 1. Applicants will receive notification of their lottery order via email along with further details about the assessment process. Assessment of applicants is planned for August, 2020.

The Alternative Classrooms for the Academically Talented (ACAT) program at Webster Elementary is a specialized environment for the academically talented and/or gifted population in grades 1-6.
Webster Elementary houses three programs:
- Students with moderate cognitive impairments
- Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
