Hello!

I am Shonteqa, and I am the School Social Worker at Garfield Community School. This is my first year with Livonia Public Schools and my third year as a School Social Worker. I have both a Bachelors (BSW) and a Masters (MSW) degree in Social Work. I earned by BSW from Eastern Michigan University and my MSW from Wayne State University. I am also licensed in the State of Michigan as a Clinical Social Worker. In addition to my experience as a School Social Worker, I also spent the first 5 years of my career working for a community mental health agency as a Supports Coordinator and eventually a Supports Coordinator Manager. I am familiar with navigating agency support within Wayne County and I am happy to help anyone in need of assistance with accessing this process. I am available by phone and email.
