Jennifer Jungwirth

I'm looking forward to another wonderful school year in the Hoover library.  It may surprise you to learn that I began my teaching career at Hoover Elementary as a 1st grade teacher in 2003.  Since then, I have taught 1st grade at Cleveland as well as 3rd grade at Cass before earning my master's degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and transitioning into the school library.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Shawn and our sons, Jackson (15) and Owen (13), reading (of course!), gardening, playing with our cats, and being outdoors. I love hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking.  I enjoy spending time on the shores of our beautiful Great Lakes whenever possible!

In addition to being the library media specialist at Hoover, I'm also co-chair of the Hoover Eco-Action team.  You can learn more about the Eco-Action team by joining our  Eco-Action Google Classroom.

I strongly encourage all Hoover families to spend at least 20 minutes each day reading. Reading aloud with your child does not have to stop once they begin reading on their own - take some time to share the magic of a wonderful book together no matter the age of your child.
