This year’s Homecoming Court will obviously look different than years past. Despite the fact that there will be no fall dance or assembly, we still plan on hosting a Homecoming King and Queen Coronation Ceremony at halftime to be livestreamed on social media on the day of the Homecoming Football Game (Friday, October 16th).
We will offer a FULL Snowcoming Court in the spring if dances are allowed at that time.
This year’s Homecoming Court will consist of only SENIORS and the process will be as follows:
- Students who are interested in being on the Homecoming Court should complete the Homecoming Court Application Google Form (due by Monday, October 5th).
- A panel of staff members (no students) will narrow down the applications to 12 (6 for King/6 for Queen) candidates who will then be placed on the ballot (staff will not see names).
- ALL STUDENTS will then have the opportunity to vote to determine which 6 (3 for King/3 for Queen) of the 12 candidates make it onto the court.
- Finally, the week of the Homecoming Game, ALL STUDENTS will again have an opportunity to vote for the King and queen.
All voting will take place via Google Form, and voters will need to include their full name and grade (which must match their LPS email address).
Once selected, the 12 candidates will receive further information regarding the remainder of the process.
Students must be logged into their LPS accounts to access the form.
If you know someone who you think represents Churchill in a positive way, please encourage them to apply for Homecoming Court!
