Hello. My name is Nicole Geverink. I was born and raised in the Livonia area and am a Churchill Alum and CAPA grad. I love all things related to music and the performing arts. This is my 8th year teaching for Livonia Public Schools, however, I have been working in the classroom in one capacity or another for over 10 years. My teaching career began at Northville Christian School, where I taught K-6 General Music and 7-8 Drama Classes during the 2003-2004 school year. From 2005-2006, I was a substitute teacher for both Livonia and Farmington Public Schools, and served as a piano accompanist at Holmes for one semester. I also taught private music lessons Ward School of the Fine Arts during this time. Next, I taught vocal and instrumental music at Cooper Upper Elementary School (LPS) from 2006-2012. From 2012-2018, I took time off to grow my family and spend time with my little ones at home. During this time, I became involved with a few local talent agencies and had the opportunity to work as a commercial actress/print model and auto show product specialist. I still do a few gigs here and there. In the spring of 2018, I was ready to return to teaching, so I accepted an English position at Wayne Memorial High School teaching English 9. Lastly, in September of 2018, I was welcomed back to LPS to teach choir and music theater classes at all (3) middle schools! During the 2019-2020 year, I will teaching choir at both Frost and Holmes Middle School, as well as a center music class at Frost. When I'm not teaching, I'm most likely at home chasing after my (3) energetic children, taking photos/scrapbooking, playing the piano, hanging out with friends and family, or doing some sort of exercise to stay healthy.
