Role of the Director
The Director of Secondary Programs oversees the District's middle schools and high schools, including the Career Technical Center and Adult Education. The Secondary Director serves on the District's leadership team, known as Cabinet, and reports directly to the Superintendent.
On a daily basis, the Director works hand-in-hand with the Directors of Elementary Programs, Academic Services, Student Services, Operations, Business Services and Human Resources. In addition, the Secondary Director serves as the supervisor of the athletic directors, assistant principals, and the head principal at each of the secondary schools. For a list of the secondary schools, see the link on the left.
Parents of students are welcome to call email the Director, but most questions regarding specific schools or school programs are best directed to the administrators at that school. Questions and concerns about athletic programs are best directed to the school's athletic director.
The Director also serves as a secondary school ombudsman, but protocol and process dictate that problems and complaints be heard first at the school level.
