    June 16, 2019

    Good morning Roosevelt families,

We had a wonderful conclusion to the 2018-19 school year on Friday. It was sentimental and wonderful to "clap-out" our fourth graders.  With Mrs. Taylor, our retiring crossing guard, along for the walk, one could see many smiles, tears, and excitement of what lies ahead. Moments like that hopefully remind all of us how powerful and important public schools and local communities are to the development and progress of our youth.  We will miss our 4thgraders but know great moments lie ahead for them.

It was also fun to see all the families enjoying time together at the PTA picnic.   Thank you to the Roosevelt staff that participated in the dunk tank and also thank you to Mr. Grosso, Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Moeller for joining in on the fun. We have a wonderful PTA at Roosevelt Elementary School!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all Roosevelt fathers, uncles, god-fathers, grandfathers, and significant male role models.  Enjoy the day and thank you for the unique and very necessary role you play in the development of a well-rounded child.  A little history about the day can be found at http://www.history.com/topics/holidays/fathers-day.

    WEBSITE

Visit our district and school website during the summer. School supplies, classroom placement information, and summer learning opportunities will be featured in the NEWS SECTION.  In addition, I will continue to send e-blasts to the community when applicable.  As a reminder, our web host will be changing but the content will be the same.

I hope our boys and girls are enjoying their first few days of summer vacation.  Hopefully, the weather will be a bit more cooperative and we can all enjoy the great outdoors.  As applicable, you can still expect updates throughout the summer months.  Be sure to continue to visit our website on a regular basis.
