Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome. I have been a teacher with LPS since 2003, and I have taught just about every high school science subject we have and currently offer. My area of expertise is biology, however this year I will be dabbling into the world of physics. The courses I will be taeching then are 9th grade Advanced Biology, Physics, AP biology (at FHS and LV), and astronomy. I also run the Astronomy Club, and coach our KLAA competitive Quiz Bowl teams at Franklin. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University, and completed my masters in education at Marygrove College. I have been married to my wonderful wife since August 1, 1998. We have three awesome boys. Our oldest graduated from CHS in 2019 and currently attends Wayne State University, while our younger two boys are a senior and freshman at CHS.
As a family, we enjoy hiking, camoing, going to the pool or beach, Cedar point, zoos, visiting Michigan cities, and watching movies or playing games together. I enjoy reading, Detroit sports, and my number one hobby is amatuer astronomy!
