Degrees and Certifications:
I am excited to be teaching Visual Art at Hoover and Hayes Elementary Schools this year. This will be my tenth year with Hoover and a happy return for my second year to Hayes. I am so happy to be starting my twelfth year as a part of the Livonia Public Schools community and I look forward to encouraging and inspiring the creativity and talents of our young artists by teaching the skills, processes and information that will help them to achieve and have fun in art.
I received my Fine Arts education at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit where I completed a BFA in Industrial Product Design and later went on to complete a Michigan Art Education Certification. I began my art education at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights where I was inspired by a great teacher and at Henry Ford Community College where I earned an Associate Degree in Fine Art as well as Design.
I also look forward to sharing with you the amazing artwork our students will be creating this year at our school art show as well as the Livonia Public School's district wide Fine Arts Festival whether it is in person or virtual. Student work will also be selected to be on display at the board office, recreation center and at Sam's Place Restaurant. Look for information about these events in the school blog or news letter. If your child's work is selected to be on display in the community, I will notify you by letter. If you wish to contact me my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
