    Khan Academy - this is an amazing free website with video lessons, activities, and quizzes for all grade levels in math, language arts, science, and social studies.
     
    National Literacy Directory - Visit the website or call 1-877-389-6874 for a free referral to an English Literacy program near you. Help with reading and writing, passing the GED or high school equivalency test, and speaking and reading English.

    Storyline Online - several popular children's books brought to life and narrated by celebrities

    Literactive - reading materials and phonics resources for younger students

    PBS Kids - learning games for younger students, including rhyming and letters

    Reading Is Fundamental - many literacy activities including some for older students

    Scholastic - books, games, and activities, including creating your own comic book
