DeAnn’s career with Livonia Public Schools spans more than three decades and reflects a deep commitment to students, staff, leadership development, and organizational growth. Since joining our district in 1994, she has served in a variety of leadership roles across both elementary and secondary settings, including elementary principal, middle school principal, and most recently, Secondary Coordinator of District Innovations.

Throughout each chapter of her career, DeAnn has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a people-centered leader. She brings a unique ability to balance advocacy and accountability while building strong relationships with staff, students, and families. Her leadership style reflects a deep belief in collaboration, continuous improvement, and the importance of developing systems that support both people and organizational excellence.

DeAnn’s broad experiences across our district, combined with her ability to connect with people and lead through relationships, aligns with the Department of Human Resources desire to serve all employees, who in turn carry out the incredibly important work of serving our students each day.

Director of Human Resources, Larry Grezak

Larry Grezak

Larry Grezak currently serves on the Superintendent’s Cabinet as the Director of Human Resources for Livonia Public Schools. A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy (1996) with a degree in Business, Mr. Grezak spent eight years in the manufacturing sector as a production supervisor and project manager before transitioning to education. He joined the district in 2008, teaching at Webster, Hoover, and Cooper elementary schools. His leadership journey began in 2013, serving 11 years as a K-4 principal at Coolidge and Hayes elementary schools. Following a short stint in Academic Services, he now leverages his business background and administrative expertise to lead the district’s human resources department.
