Hello Webster Parents/Guardians,

I am truly grateful and excited to be returning to the education team at Webster Elementary. As your child’s teacher, I look forward to contributing to their academic and social growth. With your help, this will be a challenging, rewarding and fun school year, filled with many positive memories for all of us.

I was born and raised in Livonia and graduated from Franklin High School. I attended Schoolcraft College and obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science. In December of 2013, I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, with an endorsement for K-12 Students with Cognitive Impairment and an Elementary Teaching Certificate. In December 2016, I completed my Master of Arts program for Autism Spectrum Disorders, also from Eastern Michigan University. While in my master’s program, I received a Brehm scholarship. Under the Brehm requirements I completed a research project about student behavior and the arts. The data reflected the positive impact the arts may have on improving the behavior, resulting in increased engagement in the classroom, of individuals with special needs. I truly believe in a cross curricular method of teaching and will continue to implement this in my classroom (i.e., enhancing and reinforcing a writing, reading or mathematics lesson with art, social studies, science and/or music). I’m happy to speak with you about this throughout the school year!

I live in Novi with my wife, daughter Emma and a variety of pets. We like to travel during the summer months and on weekends. We enjoy camping and vacationing with our friends and extended family. Occasionally, I can be seen performing locally with a Celtic or pop/rock band.

I am happy to meet with you in person, consult over the phone or communicate via email. Please reach out to me as needed. If I can, I’d like to help your child achieve the personal hopes and dreams you hold in your heart for him/her. I look forward to collaborating with you to help your child reach their greatest potential.
