Teacher Background 

I began my teaching career in 1999.  Prior to teaching, I was a certified public accountant and a tax software developer.

I received my bachelors degree from Michigan State University. My teaching certificate and Masters of Early Childhood Education degree were received from Eastern Michigan University. My teacher certification includes endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Mathematics, and Language Arts. 

Mission for the Class 

My classroom is set up to promote academic growth, safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. Every child is a learner and grows at his or her individual pace. Students are expected to do their personal best, show respect for others, make good choices, and accept responsibility for their choices.
