Welcome to the new school year at Rosedale Elementary! My name is Samantha Shoemake and I will be your child's teacher. I am looking forward to a productive, creative, and exciting year together! There are many things to look forward to in first grade, including: becoming fluent readers, working with words, journal writing, literacy centers, hands-on math activities, engaging science lessons, social studies, and so much more!

A little bit about Mrs. Shoemake…

I graduated from Eastern Michigan University. I worked at Schoolcraft Children’s Center for two years. Afterwards, I joined Rosedale. I’m excited to work with your child, I know it’s going to be a great year! As to my personal life, I got married July 27, 2019 to my amazing husband, Nathan. A few random facts about me are:

• I am a certified scuba diver.
• I create a variety of artwork (painting, drawing, ceramics, wood burning, etc…).
• I like to experience new things (food, places, and activities).
