2023-24 Theme: Soaring/Reaching for the Stars
Hello Fourth Graders and Families!
Welcome to the new school year! I am very excited about beginning an amazing school year with you! Fourth grade was my favorite year in school and I hope you will feel the same way. This year Hoover will have four 4th grade teachers: Mrs. Williams, Ms. Kerpet, Mrs. Cornellier, and myself. All of the fourth grade teachers will meet weekly in Professional Learning Teams to coordinate curriculum and classroom activities.
This year Hoover’s theme is “Soaring/Reaching for the Stars!” As a Green School students will be encouraged to Renew, Reuse, and Recycle, as well as think consciously about conserving our natural resources. We will also continue to promote healthy lifestyles by encouraging healthy eating habits and getting our bodies moving. Please send only healthy snacks to class for snack time. We are not a peanut free classroom. Lunch time for 4th grade is from 12:05-12:30.
A great way to stay informed is by receiving classroom e-blasts and Hoover's E-news. I do the majority of my communications through email blasts. I will send out e-blasts informing you of upcoming tests, study guides and practice tests, special events, project due dates, and anything else that comes up. I have signed up all of my parents to our classroom e-blast from your emails provided on the pink cards. If you would like to add an additional email address or change your email address, please send me an email and I will update my master contact list.
Students may bring a water bottle to class. Only water is allowed in the classroom. Please send in standard sized water bottles. I have bottle holders attached to desks. These holders are easily broken with larger bottles.
You may contact me through email, notes, or notes in planners whenever you have questions or concerns.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your child and to working together to help your child have a wonderful, successful year!
