Churchill has partnered with the Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) to implement the Ready to Launch Program on campus. The program was designed to assist students with the career development process and ensure they understand the enormity of opportunities available locally. The initiative began during the 2017-18 school year with 13 schools and has expanded to over 30 high schools across Wayne County. Each school has been assigned a career counselor to implement the program.
Our career counselor, Danielle Bean Jackson, is a former high school counselor and can assist students with all aspects of the career development process. Specifically, she helps 12th grade students dig deep and explore their future career goals with a bit more depth. For students with an undefined career pathway, she helps students explore the world of work, career trends, high-demand fields, professional trades, and local training opportunities. In addition, all students referred receive a detailed action plan that will assist with the completion of their post-secondary goals.
Mrs. Bean Jackson will be at Churchill every Friday, and is available to meet with students both virtually and in-person. If you’d like to know more about the program, you are welcome to contact Mrs. Bean Jackson directly. She can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 734-431-0860. Students are also welcome to sign up on this page.
We are happy to begin this partnership and look forward to the growth on our campus.
