Free School Meals for all Students in 2021-22

  • Livonia Public Schools will be participating in the “Summer Seamless Option,” a Federal Program that allows ALL students enrolled in our district to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch AT NO CHARGE to your household each school day, for the 2021-2022 School Year.

While all enrolled students in LPS can receive meals at no cost this coming school year, we do ask and encourage you to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2021-2022 school year for the students in your household if your family has received free or reduced price meals in the past, or if you believe your family would meet the household income thresholds to qualify.  Please complete the application whether your students are attending school in-person or virtually.  This application is critical in determining the amount of funding that our district receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs.

Additionally, completing this application will also assist in determining your household’s eligibility for other free and discounted services and programs available throughout the community, such as District Pay-to-Participate School Programs (LPS offers a reduced rate for those qualifying under the Free and Reduced Meal Application), Cable and Internet Services and certain summer programs at the Livonia Rec. Center, to name a few.

The 2021-2022 Free and Reduced Meal Application can be accessed directly by using the link above.

If you complete the application online, you should receive a response with eligibility status within 72 hours.  Submission of a hard copy form to your school office will take a minimum of 10-14 days for receipt, processing and reply.

All application information is completely confidential.  Without your assistance in completing the application, our district is unable to receive the much-needed available State and Federal funds.

Lunch Account Information

An app for your mobile device is also available by searching your App Store for “MyPaymentsPlus”.

    Use this service to:

    • Check account balances online
    • Make payments using a credit card, debit card, or e-check
    • Auto-pay your student’s account when it reaches a low balance threshold
    • Monitor cafeteria purchase history and receive low balance alerts

This service is easy to use, convenient, private and secure.  You must have your students’ ID# when you set up your account (ID#’s can be found on the Parent Connect portal under the demographics tab listed as “Local ID”).  You can view/print your student’s purchase history, account balance and pay for multiple students by credit or debit card in a single transaction.  There is a convenience fee.
