Hello! I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten at Kennedy! Livonia was home to me as a child and it continues to be the place my husband, our dog Penny, and I call home. I come from a family of educators and am proud to help foster the love of learning. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2013 and worked in the non-profit sector with organizations that support children acorss Metro Detroit. I recently went back to school to receive my teaching certificate so I could work directly with the children of our community. I love working in the classroom and am so excited to work with your student and get to know your family!

1) Complete an information form & survey about your child. You know your child best, and this will help me get to know them better! Complete the survey here.

2) Save my email address and email me anytime! amerkel2@livoniapublicschools.org

3) Join us on ClassDojo. Keep up with your child's behavior, important classroom updates, and wonderful moments (pictures and videos) on this app! Download the ClassDojo app or visit ClassDojo.com and type in your child's class code. You will receive your child's class code at Curriculum Night!

4) Sign up to help or donate items for our classroom if you are interested. Online sign-up coming soon!
