Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Valerie Ebling
Hello! My name is Mrs. Ebling and it is my pleasure to be working with your children as they make their way through the discoveries of Second Grade. I am looking forward to a year filled with positive challenge, hopeful change and lots and lots of laughter. I know this year will be full of some new experiences for you and your child. I invite you to contact me regarding any questions or concerns you have about your child's education here at Hayes. (firstname.lastname@example.org) I eagerly anticipate meeting our new families and also look forward to seeing some familiar faces.
Now for a little bit about me...I've been teaching for many, many moons, mainly first and second grade (one year in Kindergarten). I love spending time with my family, friends and students. I have a daughter who graduated from U of M in biology (as it relates to forensics) and criminal justice, and is now working as a full-time scientist. My husband and I have been married 30+ wonderful years. We all love to travel, compare books and articles we've read, attend concerts, explore museums and attend movies among other things. Miss Belle Pepper is our rescue dog (probably a Borador - a lab and Border Collie mix) who is a charming and wide-eyed puppy. I'm sure you'll hear lots of Belle Pepper and Bullseye stories as well. Bullseye was our former fiesty and quite naughty Jack Russell Terrier who passed away a few years ago, but who still lives on in Bulleye the Wonder Pooch Stories. I enjoy nature, gardening, history, music (the Beatles, Motown, among other), art, reading writing and science, especially brain research as it relates to education. I loke to consider myself a "green" person and will incorporate lessons about taking care of the environment as well as reducing, recycling, reusing and repurposing items to reduce waste.
This welcome is to parents and students alike.
