Degrees and Certifications:

Melinda Bush

This will be my 31st year teaching at the Livonia Career Technical Center.  I am looking forward to sharing my love of learning and technology with another group of students from the 3 Livonia High Schools, Northville, Plymouth Canton and surrounding districts.  I spend my summers attending conferences learning about Virtual Reality Development, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Video Game Design.  Early in my career I won the honor of being selected as an Outstanding New Michigan Marketing Educator and two years ago was recognized with a Leadership Award from the Games For Change Organization.  I love teaching, I love teenagers and look forward to seeing the amazing work they will create over the upcoming school  year.

I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, a Post Baccaulareate Degree in Marketing Education from Eastern Michigan University, a Masters of Business Education from Eastern Michigan University, and a Masters of Education in Special Education from The University of Michigan Dearborn. I have hundreds of hours of professional development from a variety of top notch programs including Harvard, Globaloria, Michigan Business Education Association, North Carolina Digital Media, Computer Science Teachers Association to name a few.

In addition to my teaching duties, I am a Department Chair and sponsor students to compete in  Video Game Competitions where students have consistently won top awards.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy travelling, home improvement projects and spending time with my family.
