The Emerson Library
Welcome to the Emerson Library! Your friendly Emerson Librarian has been Ms. McGuire since 2010. She will be happy to help you find a book and share her love of reading with you!
You can read below for how to access books during the 2020-2021 school year. The link on the left (E-Book Reading Resources) has additional resources, including the International Children's Digital Library and free audiobooks through Audible.

Emerson Library: Access to Books 2020-2021
During Remote Learning
During Face-to-Face Learning
Students can place a hold on a book through the library catalog. Books will be pulled for students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Requests need to be made by 2:00 on Tuesdays or Thursdays in order to be picked up on the same day. Students will be notified by email that the books are ready to be picked up. Please wait for that email before coming to pick up any books. After being pulled, books will be available at the pickup location (school lobby/vestibule) for a week. The lobby/vestibule is open from 6 am until 6 pm. There will also be a bin to return library books.
Students will be able to use the library catalog to place holds on books. These will be delivered to students in their classroom.
Livonia Virtual students will be able to continue to request books for pickup, although the pickup location may change.
