• The PSAT/NMSQT test will be given at Franklin High School on Wednesday, October 16th at 7:30 a.m. The PSAT allows your student the opportunity to practice for the SAT. The testing conditions will closely model those of the SAT. The PSAT scores are used to determine which students will qualify as a National Merit Semi-Finalist. Those who test in the top one percent, as juniors, move on to National Merit Semi-Finalist status and have the opportunity to become a National Merit Finalist in their senior year.

If your child is interested in registering for the PSAT please obtain a registration form from the Guidance Office and return it with a check in the amount of $25.00 made out to Livonia Public Schools. The registration form, with the check, should be turned in to Mr. McCalister or Mrs. McCall in the Guidance Office.  There are a limited number of tests available.  We may not be able to grant your request. Registration will close on Friday, October 4th or sooner if testing is full.

Upon registering, your child should pick up the PSAT Bulletin in the guidance office. The Bulletin is the "study guide" for the PSAT. On Wednesday, October 16th your child should report to Franklin at 7:25 a.m.  The testing will start promptly at 7:30 am and finish before 11:00 am. Students will need to bring a picture I.D., two number two pencils and a calculator.
