Kevin Etue, Principal
Kevin Etue stems from a family of Livonia Public Schools educators and has enjoyed wonderful, meaningful, and impactful experiences as in educator and administrator. Principal Etue has served the Livonia Public Schools community for 16 years and, since 2017, the proud principal of Churchill High School. During Principal Etue’s tenure with LPS, he was a substitute teacher, taught business courses at Stevenson High School and Livonia Career Technical Center, coached football and girls’ basketball at Churchill High School, and worked as an assistant principal before becoming the principal of Churchill High School

Mrs. Karla Halvangis began her tenure at Churchill High School in 1994. She taught in the English department for sixteen years before moving into the role of student activities director for five years. In 2015, she was hired as an assistant principal in the attendance office.
Mrs. Halvangis earned a bachelor’s degree from Alma College, and a master’s degree, an education specialist degree, and administrative certification from Oakland University.

Nicole Hunter, Scheduling Office Assistant Principal
Mrs. Nicole Hunter has been an Assistant Principal at Churchill High School since 2015. Prior to coming to Churchill, Mrs. Hunter was a Social Studies teacher at Stevenson High School where she taught a variety of Social Studies classes.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Albion College majoring in Political Science and History, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Marygrove College, and a juris doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School.

Assistant Principal Bruce Rivera, Business Office
Mr. Bruce Rivera has been serving Livonia Public Schools for over two decades in many different capacities. He has earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University, a Masters of Science from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and an Administrative Certification from Wayne State University.
He began his teaching career in Livonia Public Schools at Riley Middle School in 1996. In 2006, he began teaching biology classes at Churchill High School and coached track and field for several years. He and his wife, also a L.P.S. teacher, have been committed to our students, their families and our community for many, many years.

Marc Hage, Athletic Director
A 1977 Churchill High School graduate, Mr. Hage has been with Livonia Public Schools since 1990. He served as a teacher and coach before ultimately becoming the award-winning athletic director at his alma mater. He is a two-time Region 11 Athletic Director of the Year, the 2019 MIAAA Athletic Director of the Year, and most recently he was a finalist for the 2019 NHSACA National Athletic Director of the Year award.
