My name is Karen Grima.  I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Niji-Iro.  I have worked in the district since 2001.  I have worked with students with articulation disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders and students with autism.  This year I am at working with students with Autism at Webster Elementary and Garfield Community Schools (come check out their craft show in December and May—our students have a company called Au-some-Student-Designs).   I am new this year to Niji-Iro and very excited to be here.  I have enjoyed getting to know my new students and their families as well as help my students with their speech and language goals.  I have also made myself a goal to learn a new Japanese word, phrase or sentence each week.  The students and staff are a great help.

 When I’m not busy working in the schools I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and riding with my husband in our 1931 Willys Whippet automobile.
