Mrs. Bethany Voss

Hi! I'm Bethany Voss, I have been a special education teacher for 13 years in two different districts and am now working with adults on the Autism Spectrum at Garfield Community School. I love working with students on the Autism Spectrum and feel very lucky to get to support them in gaining their independence and preparing for the real world. I earned my Bachelors degree from Spring Arbor University in Learning Disabilities, followed by a Master's degree from Madonna University in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and I recently added English as a Second Language endorsement to my teaching certificate.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband Bobby and two kiddos (Troy, 6 and Lucy, 4). We like to run and be involved with track and cross country in any way possible. As a family, we are very close to all our siblings and cousins as well. My younger brother is navigating life after school as an adult with Autism, so I live to learn new ways to support families and students develop meaningful opportunities for the future. We spend a lot of time with each other making memories and enjoying each others company. We also love playing with our dog and just having fun together.

I grew up in Dearborn Heights where I graduated from Crestwood High School and worked in the Crestwood School District. My family and I now reside in Garden City.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if needed!
