Mrs. Nicole Minor
Hello! My name is Nicole Minor and I have been teaching math in Livonia Public Schools since 2017. I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in mathematics and a minor in English. I also earned my master's degree from Wayne State University in Secondary Education (Math). I taught for five years right out of college in Troy, Michigan and then took about 14 years off to have a family and stay home with my 3 kids. My children are in 12th, 8th and 6th grade and are also students in Livonia Public Schools. I was very involved in my kids' elementary school years as a parent-I served as the PTA Treasurer and I volunteered in the classroom and library frequently. I feel very fortunate to be on both the teacher and parent side of education here in Livonia as it gives me a balanced perspective on the expectations of my students. This year I am teaching three Livonia Virtual Algebra classes and three Geometry classes at Franklin High School.
I enjoy traveling with my family and finding new adventures with them. In the summer of 2019, we traveled all the way across the country to California and up the west coast, camping all the way there! I also love to bake and try my hand at photography occasionally.
All assignments and news will be posted on Google classroom-feel free to ask to be added to our class as a parent/guardian.
Email is always the best means of communication. My email address is nminor2@livoniapublicschools.org
