Hello. My name is Nicole Geverink. I was born and raised in the Livonia area and am a Churchill Alum and CAPA grad. My own children attend Livonia Public Schools as well. I love all things related to music and the arts. In addition to my collegiate studies in music education and English, I studied classical piano and piano pedagogy. I spent many years performing in recitals, and continue to play outside of work for enjoyment.  With well over a decade of teaching under my belt, I have taught in many different schools throughout Livonia Public Schools, as well as neighboring districts. My teaching career began at Northville Christian School, where I taught K-6 General Music and 7-8 Drama Classes during the 2003-2004 school year. From 2005-2006, I was a substitute teacher for both Livonia and Farmington Public Schools, and served as a piano accompanist at Holmes for one semester. I also taught private piano and voice lessons at Ward School of the Fine Arts  as well as through my home studio. Next, I taught vocal and instrumental music at Cooper Upper Elementary School (LPS) from 2006-2012, while also teaching summer school English classes at Thurston High School.  From 2012-2018, I took time off to grow my family and spend time with my little ones at home.  During this time, I became involved with a few local talent agencies and had the opportunity to work as a commercial actress/print model and auto show product specialist. I still do a few gigs here and there.  In the spring of 2018, I was ready to return to teaching, so I accepted an English position at Wayne Memorial High School. Lastly, in September of 2018, I was welcomed back to LPS. Since 2018, I have had the opportunity to teach choir, music theater, and ELA 11 classes.
