Meet the Principal

  • Principal Kevin Etue

    Dear Churchill Students & Families,

It is with extreme pride and honor that I introduce myself to the Churchill community as the new principal of Churchill High School. I joined Churchill High School as an Assistant Principal in August 2020, and have thoroughly enjoyed these last two years, getting to know my students and staff. In my new role, I look forward to continuing to support students and staff, while sharing my vision for making CHS the best it can be. My goal is to continue to create an environment in which all students feel supported and are proud to call themselves Churchill Chargers. I commit to doing my best to lead this effort to help support students, teachers, and the entire CHS community so that we can all work to our highest potential.

Working with teenagers has been the focus of my entire career, and in addition, I am the proud mom of two daughters myself, ages 16 and 21. I believe every student has strengths, talents, and an aptitude for success. Some of those are obvious, while others are waiting to be discovered. Whether a student aspires to attend a 4-year college or university, a community college, a trade school, join our armed forces, or follow any other professional career path, it is my goal that every CHS student leaves our school with hope and a plan for their future. During each student’s high school experience, I encourage every student to get involved. Being a part of a team- whether that be athletics, arts, clubs, or any other of the many extra-curricular activities we offer at CHS  - allows students to be a part of something special. The benefits include improved academics, making social connections, broadening perspectives, and developing skills and talents- just to name a few. Churchill has something for everyone!

Churchill is a place where we pride ourselves on strong partnerships between the home and school and where all staff members are committed to developing the whole child.  Our expert staff continues their dedication in preparing your child for college and the next stages of life by instilling and enhancing our Livonia Public Schools’ Community with Character traits of mindfulness, empathy, grit, integrity, confidence, respect, responsibility, and reflection.  Additionally, the special programs at Churchill High School, such as CAPA, MSC, Center, ASD, club offerings, and strong athletic, musical, and theatrical programs add to the comprehensive education your child can receive.  It truly is a privilege and honor to be the principal of a school community that offers so much.

Each of our assistant principals has a caseload of students they primarily work with. Mr. Burnside (A-G), Mr. Rivera (H-O), and Mrs. Hunter (P-Z).  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of your Churchill High School administrative team with questions or concerns.

As the principal of Churchill High School, I will continue to foster my passion for positively influencing all students, while understanding and implementing the highest ethical and academic standards.  I am honored to lead this Charger Nation, and I look forward to everyone doing their part to make Churchill High School a school we are all proud to be a part of.
