LPS Career Intern Program (CIP)
Livonia Public Schools offers professional internship opportunities for high school seniors attending Churchill, Franklin, and Stevenson High Schools. These Internship Programs include The Career Intern Program (CIP) and Skilled Trades Intern Program.
High school elective credit is granted to those students selected to participate in these programs. In some cases, college credit and advanced admission into college programs are received.
The current application process for the class of 2022 will began February8 and concludes on March 10, 2021. This year's assemblies were virtual.If you missed the assembly please contact Mrs. Benoit at email@example.com.
APPLICATIONS AND FORMS
Application - Due March 10, 2021
Application with fields for typing - This must be downloaded first and then filled out on your computer.
Educator Recommendation Form - MUST HAVE THREE OF THESE FORMS SUBMITTED FROM CORE TEACHERS - To to designated CIP counselors by March 10, 2021
Sample Sponsor list - This is not all inclusive. some sponsors may not be able to sponsor a student every semester or year.
Interviews will begin March 22, 2021 in school ABC order.
Students interested in the Skilled Trades Program can fill out an application through May 7, 2021. Applications can be picked up in the counseling office or downloaded on-line using the Skilled Trades section of this website.

CIP II is a continuation of the Career Intern Program. All first semester students who are eligible to continue their career exploration studies and observations are invited by the program coordinator to work additional hours and learn. This is a very select group of students. Attendance, assignment completion, and class participation are an important part of getting into this class.
Prerequisite: Participation in the first semester career intern class.
