  • Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

Posted by SHS Admin on 5/10/2022 9:00:00 AM

    Dear Spartans

I would like to take this time to remind everyone of the expectations for morning drop-off and after-school pick-up. I know this can be a cause of frustration for some and everyone is looking for a quick entry or exit.

We enjoy a great relationship with the Church to the west of the campus. Students should not be dropped off or picked up on church property. They have events that take place throughout the day. Our additional traffic impacts their ability to run their operations. Please be respectful of this and find an alternate location to coordinate rides.

The Bus Loop may be used before or after LPS transportation runs. In the morning, prior to 7:00 am or after 7:15 am, the bus loop may be used. At the end of the school day, the buses leave campus by 2:30 pm. Anything after the LPS buses have left is acceptable.

Stevenson Highway, which is the entrance off of Curtis Road from the north, is accessible in the morning until 7:45 am. It is not accessible after school.

    Thank you for your support.

    Pete Mazzoni

  • M Step Testing | April 18-21, 2022

Posted by SHS Admins on 4/14/2022 9:00:00 AM

Dear Spartan 11th Graders & Parents

Along with the SAT and WorkKeys, all 11th graders in the state of Michigan are required to take the MStep assessment.  This assessment covers topics in science and social studies. Completion of MStep also helps fulfill the MME requirement students need to meet for graduation.

MStep is a computer-based test and will be completed on Chromebooks. 11th graders will be assigned a testing session based on their last name.

Students who have an LCTC course that meets at the same time as when they have been scheduled to take the MStep will need to take the MStep and NOT travel to the Career Center.

Students who are absent from their LCTC classes due to this testing conflict will receive an excused absence.

11th graders will need to report directly to the North Cafeteria at 7:25 AM on their scheduled day.
