Welcome Information for New Families
Good Afternoon and Welcome to Livonia Public Schools!
We are so excited to welcome you and your family to our LPS family! Be sure to keep a close watch on your email inbox throughout the summer, for important back to school information, as this will be our main method of communicating information to our families.
Our first note to you is a “heads up” that you will be receiving an email message from Parent Connect over the weekend. Parent Connect will be your main portal for all information regarding your student(s). Throughout the school year, you will be able to check schedules, grades, absence tallies and much more. Please check your email inbox, as well as your spam and/or promotions folder for the message from Parent Connect.
The email you will receive from Parent Connect will contain your PIN or ID Number and a temporary password to access the system.
Parent Connect is located under the Parents tab on the district’s website – bookmark this page for easy reference: Parent Connect Link
You will want to enter your PIN and the temporary password. A “change password” screen will then allow you to change your password to one of your choosing. If you do not see this screen automatically, click on “My Account” at the top of the screen. It’s important to note, this is best completed on a PC or laptop.
Once you have entered and confirmed your new password, click on Submit. Click the “Back” button to return to your home screen in Parent Connect. If you have trouble logging in, please send an email to parentconnect@
Starting on May 15, 2023, there will be a Transportation feature in Parent Connect to elect transportation. If you are unsure if your student is eligible for bus transportation, please email lpsbus@livoniapublicschools.
Starting on August 7, 2023, you will be required to complete the “online enrollment confirmation” section in Parent Connect – this ensures that we have your current contact information and other important details regarding your student(s). This online feature replaces paper packets that were distributed after the start of the school year, in previous years.
