Happy Friday Roosevelt Tigers!!

What a great start to the year! We’ve successfully held our family Meet and Greets and had a chance to meet many of our parents and students. Seeing our students in the building, even for a short while, really filled our hearts with joy!

Thank you for coming to retrieve your materials and check in with us. If you missed the opportunity, we will gladly schedule a time for you to stop by the Main Office and collect your child’s materials in the near future. Please call Mrs. Pac at 734-744-2775 to make arrangements.

Screen Shots/Recordings:

We know that the first days of school can be fun and exciting but we are asking everyone in the Roosevelt Community to please refrain from taking pictures of your child's Zoom or Google Meet screen and posting publicly. Thank you for respecting the privacy of our students!

Library Program:

During the summer, the Livonia Public Schools media specialists reached out to the Livonia Public Library to form a collaboration so that all Livonia Public Schools students have the opportunity to receive a Public Library Card!

It is simple - you only need to fill out a single Google Form! With this library card, students will have access to ebooks, audiobooks and more that they can access from a Chromebook, a desktop or laptop, or through an app on a phone or other mobile device. Students may also have access to the curbside pick-up services for physical books. The public librarians will send an email with your student’s library card number to your student’s LPS email. Due to the volume of requests from LPS students, they’ve asked that you please allow up to one week to receive your confirmation email.

You can view the form here and complete it now. You only need to fill it out once per student. We ask that if your student already has a library card, you still fill out the form so that we know which of our students have access to these resources. Please have your student(s) watch the video with you - they can meet the Livonia public librarians!

Sensory Path:

Our sensory path has been installed this August! It’s ready for our friends to hop, skip, jump and count their way down the hall! We cannot wait for our first customers to try it out!

Important Reminders:

Full learning days this week will include three learning sessions.

  • Grades 1, 3 will be at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm
  • Grades K, 2, 4 will be at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm
  • Asynchronous learning will begin this week
  • Special Area teachers will be joining live lessons over the remainder of the month

We’ve begun our wonderful adventure together this week. It has been sad without our favorite little people but it will make our reunification that much more enjoyable! We look forward to many more weeks of learning and laughter! Thank you for your continued support!
