​Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

I hope that you all are doing well! I am Mrs. Jenny Harvey, your child’s 6th grade teacher this year. As you know, I was away taking care of my daughter, Sophia, who was born on the 4th of July. I am so grateful for the time I had, but also so excited to re​​turn to my calling and back to my classroom!

Ms. Bashara has done an amazing job in keeping the classroom very similar to how I typically run it. She also sent home my welcome letter that I am attaching again that contains my classroom expectations and some additional information. 

 

Just like I always have, Ms. Bashara sent out a weekly email keeping you all up to date on how things are going in the classroom. These will certainly continue and I encourage you to always reach out to me via email if you have any questions or concerns at any time. I will attempt to respond that night or in the morning. 

 

I am a firm believer in working together in the benefit of your child. Any classroom issues, behavioral or academic, will be sent to you straight away so that you may have a conversation at home. I also gladly stay in my classroom during lunch and recess for any students on both Tuesdays and Thursdays for classroom help in assignments or for speaking about behavior. Please be sure students utilize this time if needed!

 

Seeing as I have missed parent teacher conferences, I would like to open a few mornings and evenings to speak with any parent who would like to.
